"Rama will seize property and launder money"/ The Alpine Gate is voted on in parliament, only 22 from the DP against!

On Thursday night, several important draft laws and draft decisions were approved in parliament, such as the Alpine Gate or the Rules of Procedure of the Assembly. The Democratic Party and Sali Berisha himself had undertaken a strong propaganda campaign against the "Mountain Gate" draft law, accusing Edi Rama of using it to seize Albanian property and launder money through his clients. Despite this "fight", the Mountain Gate was voted in with 76 votes, while the Democrats had only 22 votes against!

In an unusual decision for Albanian politics, there is also the consensus reached this evening between the majority and the opposition, to pass the changes to the Rules of Procedure of the Assembly by majority vote.

There were 100 in favor, 0 abstentions and 1 against, and this also includes the green cards of opposition lawmakers, starting with the chairman of the Parliamentary Group, Gazment Bardhi, and several others.

 - Draft law “On the ratification of the financial contract between the Republic of Albania and the European Investment Bank, for municipal infrastructure works for the “Gateway to the Alps” project” - Approved with 76 FOR, 1 ABSTENTION, 22 AGAINST.

- Draft law “On some additions and amendments to law no. 72/2012, “On the organization and functioning of the national geospatial information infrastructure in the Republic of Albania”, as amended” - Approved with 76 FOR, 0 ABSTENTIONS, 21 AGAINST.

- Draft law "On some amendments and additions to law no. 29/2024, "On water resources", as amended" - Approved with 75 FOR, 1 ABSTENTION, 21 AGAINST.

- Draft decision “On some additions and amendments to decision no. 166, dated 16.12.2004, “Rules of Procedure of the Assembly of the Republic of Albania”, as amended” - Approved with 100 FOR, 0 ABSTENTIONS, 1 AGAINST.
