Is Another Ground Offensive Being Organized? Zelenskyy: We Cannot Allow a Repeat of the Dangers of 2022

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has warned local leaders in Kyiv and Chernihiv that the country "cannot allow even a repetition of the dangers that the people faced in February 2022."

This is the month when Russia launched its full-scale invasion, sparking the war that continues to this day.

Zelenskyy added that the threat that existed then is "just as present today," in a stark warning to his people to remain vigilant and steadfast.

The communities treated were targeted during the early stages of Russia's invasion, when Moscow's forces marched south from Belarus into Ukraine in an attempt to take the capital, Kiev.

Yesterday, Zelenskyy warned that Russia was planning a new offensive in northern Ukraine, possibly launching again from Belarus.

Speaking in his evening speech, he said Ukraine was preparing for such a scenario, adding:

"They need to understand: there will be consequences for them, and they will be significant."
