Anti-drug operation in Italy/ An Albanian among those arrested, 19 kg of cocaine seized

An Albanian has been arrested for drug trafficking during an operation in Italy.
53,000 euros in cash, 4.5 kilograms of cocaine and 1.7 kilograms of hashish were seized at his home in Osio Sopra.
This is the conclusion of the State Police investigation, carried out between the provinces of Bergamo and Milan, which led to the seizure of a total of 12 kilograms of drugs and 90,000 euros in cash.
The operation, carried out by officers of the Foreign Crime Section of the Milan Flying Squad, took place between September 2022 and March 2023.
After the arrest warrants arrived in mid-March 2026, officers carried out house searches, finding the men still wanted at the same addresses in Osio Sopra and Milan, with money hidden in the walls and drugs, mainly cocaine and hashish.
The arrested are two Albanians (one recently arrested with 4.5 kg of cocaine) aged 39 and 52 (the latter under house arrest), and a 64-year-old Italian.
A 44-year-old Egyptian, already in prison in Voghera, Pavia, for drug trafficking, was handed a notice in his cell.
