Injuring three people in a nightclub in Greece, Albanian surrenders to police

A 39-year-old Albanian man wanted for attempted murder surrendered himself in the company of his lawyer on Monday, Greek authorities said.
He is accused of involvement in a shooting in December 2023 outside a nightclub in the Athens neighborhood of Gazi, where he opened fire on three men from Crete after an argument.
Greek media reports that the Albanian and another man approached the other group in a car at around 7am on December 16 last year. After one of them hit a member of the group, a confrontation ensued and the second suspect pulled out a gun and fired. Four shell casings were found at the scene, while the injured were taken to hospital.
Both suspects are known to authorities. The 39-year-old Albanian has a criminal history in Albania, including a prison sentence for armed robbery. The 34-year-old faces multiple charges, including human trafficking and attempted murder.
