VIDEO/ Arrested for the tragedy with 59 victims in North Macedonia, the moment when the former Minister of Economy appears in handcuffs

Former North Macedonia Economy Minister Kreshnik Bekteshi is among 23 people arrested in connection with the Kocani tragedy, where 59 people lost their lives as a result of a fire in a discotheque.

Bekteshi has been taken into custody in handcuffs as a suspect in the Koçan case after the Ministry of Economy allegedly granted a forged license to the PULS discotheque.

The prosecution has requested the security measure of pre-trial detention for the former minister.

On the other hand, DUI and SDSM say that the case should not be politicized, but that all institutions that may be related to the case in question should be investigated.

Today in Kocani there was a protest to demand justice for the tragedy, and tomorrow a protest is expected at 6:00 PM in the center of Skopje.
