A 51-year-old Albanian man has been arrested by Italian authorities after a series of incidents were discovered in which he had committed continuous domestic violence and sexually abused his wife.
According to Italian authorities, the events took place between 2018 and 2023. During this period, the woman reportedly lived in a constant state of anxiety and terror due to her ex-partner's violent behavior.
The ex-wife decided to report the case, paving the way for investigations, which led to the immediate arrest of the 51-year-old, who also has previous criminal records.
Initially, he was placed under house arrest, but after the confirmation of the final court decision, the Prosecutor's Office at the Court of Ragusa issued the order for the execution of the sentence.
The 51-year-old Albanian has already been transferred to Ragusa prison to serve his sentence of 6 years and 6 months.
