EU confirms US withdrawal from group monitoring Russian war crimes in Ukraine

The European Union has confirmed the US withdrawal from the group monitoring Russian war crimes in Ukraine.
It is about a multinational group created to investigate those responsible for the invasion of Ukraine.
The decision was announced in an email to the group's parent organization, the European Union Agency for Criminal Justice Cooperation (Eurojust), the New York Times reported.
Eurojust has been informed by the US authorities that they will no longer continue their involvement in the International Center for the Prosecution of the Crime of Aggression against Ukraine (ICPA).
The move underscores a shift in foreign policy in Washington as the Trump administration seeks to restore ties with Moscow while pushing for a swift peace deal in Ukraine, Sky News reports.
The International Center for the Prosecution of the Crime of Aggression against Ukraine based in The Hague is a judicial center that supports national investigations into the crime of aggression committed by the Russian leadership, including President Vladimir Putin, and Moscow's allies against Ukraine.
