France accelerates arms deliveries to Ukraine

France is accelerating the delivery of military equipment and ammunition to Ukraine as US aid remains suspended, Defense Minister Sébastien Lecornu said in an interview with La Tribune Dimanche.
To speed up support, the French army is transferring older equipment, including AMX-10RC tanks and armored personnel carriers.
In addition, France will allocate a new aid package of 195 million euros ($211 million) this year, financed by interest from frozen Russian assets.
The package will provide 155-millimeter artillery shells and AASM missiles, which are used by the Mirage 2000 fighter jets that France began supplying to Ukraine in February.
