Red alert/ Bad weather is issued in Spain, other authorities warn residents: Stay at home!
Spain's meteorological agency has issued a red alert for rain along the coast of Huelva in the country's southwest, urging people to stay indoors.
The warning is in effect between 09:00 and 11:59 local time and predicts accumulated rainfall of 140 mm over 12 hours.
"It is estimated that rainfall will continue with great intensity in the warning area during the next few hours," the update states.
Other areas of the province are on "orange" alert.
In the last hour, the official X account for Andalusian emergencies described the alert, including that the regions of Aracena, Andévalo and Condado have an orange warning for rain and a yellow for storm.
In the early hours of the morning, the same account detailed the "red warning" that at that moment covered a larger area. They asked people to avoid travel.
