Tragedy in Colombia, plane crashes with 110 soldiers on board

A Colombian armed forces transport plane crashed this Monday in the Puerto Leguízamo area, in the south of the country.

According to Reuters , the aircraft manufactured by the American company Lockheed Martin, a C-130 Hercules, with more than 110 soldiers on board, crashed a few minutes after taking off from the runway, in circumstances that are still unclear.

Sources for Blu Radio indicate that authorities have immediately launched search and rescue operations in the accident area, while there is still no official tally for victims or survivors.

The incident has caused great concern in the country, while further details are awaited from the authorities regarding the causes of this serious air accident.
