Trump releases footage of attack on Houthi group in Yemen: They won't sink our ships anymore

US President Donald Trump posted a video on Truth Social, which he said shows dozens of Houthi fighters being killed during a US strike in Yemen, accompanied by the sarcastic exclamation "oops".
The black-and-white images, taken from above – apparently by a military drone – show dozens of people in a circle before a bomb fell.
The camera captures the explosion, the thick smoke, then footage of the affected area, where nothing is left, only a few vehicles are seen in the short distance.
"These Houthis gathered to receive orders for an attack," Donald Trump wrote above the video.
"Oops, there will be no attack from these Houthis! They will never sink our ships again!" he added.
Houthi-owned officials and media outlets reported multiple deaths in dozens of attacks this week that they blamed on the US.
On Monday, Trump vowed to continue striking the Houthis until the Yemeni "terrorist group" stops attacking merchant ships in the Red Sea.
The Houthis claim that 67 people have been killed since March 15, when the US began the airstrike campaign.
The Houthis began targeting merchant ships in the Red Sea with missiles and drones about a month after the war in the Gaza Strip broke out in October 2023, blocking access to the Suez Canal, through which about 12 percent of world maritime trade passed as of last year.
They say they are targeting ships bound for Israel in solidarity with the Palestinians.
