Two active fires in Bulqiza, aerial intervention required

Two fires continue to be active in Bulqiza. One is located above the village of Vajkal, in the Fushë-Bulqiza Administrative Unit, while the other is on Mount Lepuri, near the New City of Bulqiza.

The fire on Vajkal has been burning for more than 10 days. Employees of the Bulqiza Municipality and Civil Emergency structures are on the ground and are working to isolate the flames.

But the difficult mountainous terrain and high temperatures are making intervention from the ground significantly more difficult.

The situation is particularly worrying on Lepuri Mountain, where flames are descending towards the New City of Bulqiza. Due to the difficulty of intervention from the ground, aerial intervention is required to contain the spread of the fire and prevent the flames from approaching residential areas.
