A painful, but more inspiring story in this December holiday season has been shared by journalist Xhensil Shkëmbi on social media.
It is about a baby, abandoned a few days ago, directly after birth by its mother in the Korça maternity hospital.
"I do not know and do not understand how a person, a mother who has carried her child for 9 months in her womb, can abandon her without feeling any remorse or sorrow. In his writing, notary Bledi Zake, who interviewed her, shows that her coldness in response was frightening," the journalist writes.
He further stated that the baby is in the Korça maternity hospital and that he was touched by the dignified way the nurses took care of him as if he had his own child, and he was also impressed by the fact that the hospital management staff had purchased clothes, milk, and other things for the baby.

A very beautiful child. A bright boy. But what made me happy is that through the Social Service of the Municipality of Korça, a couple from the city (they wish to remain anonymous) have expressed their desire to be the child's guardian and then the right to adopt him arose."
Touched by the work of the child's future parents, he wrote: "I am humbled by their work and may God bless them and give them hope and joy to raise this angel. They are an example of how a society should function."

For several days, the child has been in the Korça maternity hospital. I was impressed and touched by the dignified way of treatment by the nurses (heroines). They took care of him as if he had their own child. They even bought clothes, food (milk) and many other things from the hospital management staff. I wondered if I should make this post or not. The only reason I'm posting it is to tell these two future parents of this child that I LOVE THEM SO MUCH. I'm humbled by their work and may God bless them and give them hope and joy to raise this angel. They are the example of how a society should function. Close to those who have no one. Especially when it comes to a child. They will not only raise this baby but also the hope that each of us can become better. Because God is good...
