Rare sea turtle found dead with blood stains on Vlora coast

A sea turtle was found dead this afternoon on Zvërnec beach, causing concern among vacationers and residents of the area.

According to preliminary information, the turtle had visible injuries to its body and signs of blood, which raises suspicions that it may have been hit by a boat or other floating vehicle moving in the coastal area.

Sea turtles are considered rare and protected species, while such cases are seen as a serious threat to marine fauna in the Bay of Vlora.

Residents and environmentalists are calling for more control over vessels, especially near areas where these species live and move, to avoid other similar cases.
