Magistrates' salaries, Balla after the Conference of Mayors ironizes the opposition: "My stomach is burning" for the judges, but they insult them with "house book"

After the meeting of the Conference of Speakers, the head of the Socialist Party Parliamentary Group, Taulant Balla, declared that the issue of magistrates' salaries will be reviewed in the Assembly on September 17.

Balla stated that there have been attempts by the opposition to use this issue politically, while emphasizing that there are 140 deputies in the Assembly, but only two Socialist deputies have filed the draft law that addresses the salaries of magistrates.

Balla has also made irony with the opposition, stating that today they "burn their stomachs" for their salaries, but when their interests are undermined, magistrates are called "housekeepers".

"As a citizen, I think that in a democratic state with separation of powers, the competence to set salaries lies solely with the Parliament," he concluded.
