Flamur Noka expelled, Arlind Boshku reacts harshly: Absurd decision, we demanded

Arlind Boshku has reacted after being dismissed from the position of municipal councilor of the Democratic Party in Durrës, describing the decision as unfair and unjustified.

In a Facebook post, he writes that he and Dritan Burgia's decision to leave was learned through the media, and he considers it "absurd."

"For 35 years, as a family, we have contributed to the Democratic Party. We have been in every battle, without asking for anything in return. Yesterday we made an absurd decision: our expulsion from the DP Council. The reason? A lunch with Ervin Salianji," Boshku writes.

He emphasizes that for months he had been seeking reflection within the party about the successive losses and the establishment of meritocracy, adding that the leaders lack transparency and accountability.

According to him, the claims that he and Burgia are no longer part of the DP are "ridiculous", while he underlines that they have always been active in the field and in campaigns.

Meanwhile, along with Boshku, Dritan Burgia, both known supporters of Ervin Salianj, was also expelled. The decision for their removal was signed by the Secretary General of the Democratic Party, Flamur Noka.

Noka stated that the two councilors have violated the party's statute and have been expelled due to their political stances and actions.

Arlind Boshku's full post:

For 35 years, our family has contributed to the Democratic Party.

We have been there in every battle: committee members, part of every campaign, section and group section leaders, branch vice presidents, and today branch secretary.

Always with one principle: without asking for anything in return and fighting at our own expense.

But the truth must be told.

While we covered the campaigns with our contributions, leaders and candidates treated these sacrifices as private property without transparency, without accountability, and without any real support for the structures on the ground.

Yesterday we made an absurd decision: our expulsion from the DP Council.

The reason? A lunch with Ervin Salianji.

The truth is different.

For months, we have been demanding reflection on the consecutive losses and the establishment of clear rules for meritocracy and promotion within the party.

We have asked for something elementary: for members to decide on leadership, not for leadership to select members based on interest to hold the party hostage.

The slanders that we are no longer with the DP are ridiculous.

We have been and are on the ground, in the campaign, and in every political confrontation.

What we do not accept is silence in the face of failure and abuse.

Furthermore, it is unacceptable that financial "contributions" are requested before and after the elections without any transparency or documentation, as Nul Moka is demanding.

The party cannot be treated as a private business nor as a means for the luxury of some individuals. We will not pay for the millions of lek worth of clothing or the unbridled luxury of the opposition leaders who should have the height of modesty due to the poverty of the Democrats who, due to their mistakes, have been in the Opposition for 13 years!

The Democratic Party belongs to Democrats, not to a group that seeks to keep it usurped.

No one can take away my investment in the DP, not even you, Nul Lepurush.
