The Euro-Atlantic Coalition candidate for Vlora, Gjergj Nika, has presented the economic plan of this political force, emphasizing the commitment to a free market economy, low taxes and the fight against corruption.

According to Nika, the proposed reforms aim to boost economic growth by 5 to 8% and reduce poverty by 50% within the first term. The plan includes imposing a flat 9% tax on personal and business income, eliminating taxes for small businesses up to 14 million lek, and reducing local government liabilities to a maximum of 1% of annual turnover.

One of the main measures is the merger of taxes and customs into a single institution to reduce bureaucracy and fight corruption. Also proposed is automatic VAT refunds and the elimination of the “Rama tax” of 240 lek/liter on fuel.

"Albania and Albanians deserve more," Nika declared, expressing confidence that this economic model will bring development and well-being to citizens.

As a right-wing force, we are convinced that poverty can only be fought and reduced through market freedom, support for entrepreneurship and low taxes.
With structural reforms, a reconceptualization of the economic model and the fight against corruption, we aim for economic growth of 5 to 8%.

We are determined to free the market from abusive actors and corrupt government clients by supporting honest citizens and entrepreneurs.

Having market freedom, low taxes and good governance at our core, we aim for a 50% reduction in poverty by the end of the first term.

To this end, we commit to:

o Strengthen the middle class;
o Establish a 9% flat tax;
o Have a 9% personal income tax;
o Have a 9% business tax;
o Completely eliminate taxes for small businesses up to 14 million lek (new);
o Reduce the obligations that small businesses pay to local government to a value no higher than 1% of annual turnover;
o Apply the fiscal stamp, exempting small businesses from tax audits, providing the service where and when the taxpayer requests it;
o Establish automatic compensation or reimbursement from the VAT system for every beneficiary taxpayer, eliminating abuse, corruption and interference by the tax administration;
o Merge taxes and customs into a single institution, halving bureaucracy and multiplying the fight against corruption;
o Eliminate fiscal privileges for strategic investors;
o We should remove the "Rama tax" of 240 lek (old)/liter, part of the price of fuel.
