"The departure of young people from the country, a consequence of the lack of meritocracy", Basha: The NEXTGEN program guarantees a new economy for the new generation

The leader of the Democratic Party-Euro-Atlantic Democrats, Lulzim Basha, says that the massive exodus of young people from the country is a consequence of the lack of meritocracy, corruption and a weak education system. He emphasizes the importance of a new approach to harnessing the potential of Albanian youth, especially in the fields of technology and entrepreneurship.
As part of the NEXTGEN program, Basha presented several initiatives to improve education and the economy, including:
Reforming university education to produce professionals prepared for the labor market.
1-year job for 10,000 young people as part of their professional preparation.
The creation of four national campuses to train 25,000 young people in fields such as information technology.
Scholarships for excellent students and those with economic difficulties. Fiscal incentives and financial support for new ventures created by young people up to 30 years old.
Basha further says that Albania deserves more and for this he seeks the support of citizens on May 11 to transform Albanian youth into protagonists of the country's development.
Basha's post:
The massive exodus of young people, driven by the lack of meritocracy, endemic corruption, low wages and a weak education system, is a major alarm for the future of the country. This situation is the product of a government that has abandoned its youth. With an extraordinary potential of talented young people, our country has the capacity to become the main regional actor in the field of technology and attract serious and large investments. We have designed an economic model that encourages free entrepreneurship, supported by a small and transparent government, which adapts to the new challenges of the time.
With the Euro-Atlantic Democrats' NEXTGEN program, for a new economy for the new generation:
University education will undergo a profound reform, which aims to enable Albanian universities to produce professionals prepared for the labor market;
1-year paid work for 10,000 young people to train them professionally as a bridge between school and the labor market;
The creation of 4 National Campuses where 25,000 young people will be trained in priority areas such as information technology and programming.
Scholarships for excellent students and doctoral candidates at the 15 best universities in the world;
Full scholarships for excellent students;
Ensuring that no young person is left out of school due to economic hardship.
Scholarships for every student from a low-income family;
Scholarships for girls from economically disadvantaged families and rural areas.
Creation of the Albanian Fund for Science, Innovation and Development, where all public higher education institutions can compete.
Fiscal incentives and support with grants or state guarantee programs for businesses opened by young people up to the age of 30.
We ask for your support on May 11th, to build this bridge to the future, which brings together the worlds of education and entrepreneurship, and together with our plan for low taxes and the fight against corruption, we can open a new chapter for the development of the country, where youth will be the protagonists with their talent, vision and energy. Albania deserves more
