An Albanian voice in the leadership of European Taekwondo, Endrit Hoxha is appointed vice president

At the Electoral Assembly of the European Taekwondo Union, held on April 12, 2025 in Nuremberg, Germany, Deputy Minister of Education and Sports, Endrit Hoxha, was elected Vice President of this institution.
At the same Assembly, Mr. Sakis Pragalos was unanimously re-elected as President of the Union, while a new board of directors was formed to advance the mission of promoting this sport throughout Europe.
Hoxha stated that Albania now occupies a dignified place on the international map of Taekwondo, not only in leadership, but also in organizing over 12 international events in the last four years and with athletes ranked in the top 5 in the world, with around 100 medals won.
"I have the honor to share with you the news that at the Electoral Assembly on 12.04.2025, in Nuremberg, Germany, I was elected Vice-President of the European Taekwondo Union.
Many years of passionate contribution to the sport I love have been crowned with this achievement. At this Assembly, we unanimously trusted Mr. Sakis Pragalos, re-electing him as President of the European Taekwondo Union, with the full conviction that, under his leadership and with the contribution of all the Vice-Presidents and the newly elected ETU Board of Directors, we will work to raise the level of the sport of Taekwondo throughout Europe.
Our goal is to promote the values that this sport carries, to increase capacities, and to work on the continuous training and education of coaches, referees, and athletes.
With full conviction and pride I can say that today Albania has its own voice and dignified place in the sport of Taekwondo – starting from representation in the leadership of European governing bodies, to the consolidated experience in organizing international competitions. In the last four years alone, over 12 such events have been held in Albania, with thousands of athletes from all over the world coming to our country.
But what is most important: our athletes today rank fifth in the world, with around 100 medals won in the last four years, raising the Albanian flag in the international arena.
"Sport is talent, discipline, dedication and passion. It carries social and educational values and principles - principles that Taekwondo best reflects. But what leads you to your goals is faith. Therefore, believe strongly and work every day for the things you love ," Hoxha wrote in his post.
