Specialists of the Illicit Trafficking Investigation Sector of the Durrës Local Police Directorate, after a 2-week investigation using proactive methods, for the criminal offenses "Exploitation of prostitution", "Prostitution" and "Trafficking in adult persons", finalized the police operation codenamed "Storm 3", within which criminal proceedings were initiated for the criminal offenses "Prostitution" and "Exploitation of prostitution" for Chinese citizens R. W, 54 years old, XX, 41 years old.
Criminal proceedings were also initiated against 6 citizens from Durrës and Kruja who were found in the apartment of two Chinese citizens.
As material evidence, two passports of Chinese citizens, 86,400 All and 440 Euros, and 3 mobile phones, several phone cards and several bank cards were seized.
From the investigative actions carried out during the proactive investigation, it resulted that Chinese nationals in neighborhood no. 13, Plazh, Durrës, had adapted a rented environment and practiced prostitution.
The investigations also revealed that a structured criminal group, composed of Chinese citizens, recruits Chinese citizens in China and then sends them to Albania to carry out the criminal activity of prostitution, where they provide them with apartments for rent to carry out the criminal activity and, after securing clients through online sites, they send the client the location.
In cooperation with the Prosecutor's Office, intensive investigations continue to identify and capture these citizens.
As material evidence, sums of money obtained from prostitution, 3 cell phones, 2 passports and other items were seized.
The procedural materials were passed to the Prosecutor's Office for further action.
