New details have been learned from the serious incident in Shkodra, where a 59-year-old woman was rescued by police officers after attempting to end her life in the Buna River.
It is reported that the officer who risked his life and jumped into the water to save the 59-year-old is Erixhon Senko.
26-year-old Senko, originally from Gramsh, was on a routine patrol when he noticed the woman who had jumped into the river. He swam in after her and managed to pull her out of the water in time, saving her life.
His action shows that the officer serves with dedication and a sense of responsibility and has brought numerous reactions on social media.
As for the 59-year-old, it is suspected that she was in a serious psychological state at the moment she wanted to commit the serious act.
She is in serious condition and was transported by ambulance to the Shkodra Regional Hospital.
