During Operation “Rising Lion” in June 2025, the IDF revealed that the Iranian regime intends to develop missiles with a range of 4,000 km, which pose a threat to dozens of countries in Europe, Asia, and Africa. The Iranian regime denied this.

The IDF chief said the military operation against Iran is about halfway through, arguing that the attacks of recent weeks have significantly weakened Tehran's capabilities.
“Just yesterday, Iran launched a two-stage intercontinental ballistic missile with a range of 4,000 kilometers towards a US target on the island of Diego Garcia. These missiles are not intended to hit Israel. “Their range reaches European capitals – Berlin, Paris and Rome are all within direct threat range,” he stressed.
At the same time, the Israeli army chief said he had approved new operational plans for military operations against Hezbollah in Lebanon. As he noted, Israeli forces will continue to act as a buffer zone between armed groups and populated areas, noting that any target considered a threat will be dealt with operationally.
"I want to thank my colleagues in the United States Army again. I am in close contact with them every day. Strategic cooperation with our ally is a great and unparalleled strength in this campaign," he added at another point.
