Rama congratulates Bektashi believers on Sultan Nevruz Day

Bektashi believers celebrate Sultan Novruz Day today, the birthday of Imam Ali.
On this holy day, Prime Minister Edi Rama congratulated all Bektashi believers.
"Congratulations on Sultan Nevruz Day from the Helvetic Tekke, in Berat, one of the most beautiful in the Balkans, where peace and harmony are faith," said Rama,
The holiday of Sultan Novruz marks the beginning of the new year, according to the Bektashi sect, and coincides with the birthday of Imam Ali at the Kaaba.
This day is considered throughout the Alevis world as the day of Bektashi nobility and the day of the great resurrection.
In Albania, Sultan Novruz Day, the most important holiday of Bektashism, was decreed as a national holiday in 1996.
In our country, the Bektashi sect is located mainly in the south of the country, while it has a significant spread throughout the territory of the Republic of Albania.
The Bektashis are widespread in Kosovo and Macedonia, where, alongside Sunnis, they constitute the Albanian population of Muslim faith.
Representatives of Bektashism have provided great assistance to the national cause, starting from the period of the National Renaissance, Independence, and during the War for Liberation.
