Rama: Albania towards sustainable economic growth, income growth of around 32%

Prime Minister Edi Rama stated today that Albania is continuing its stable economic growth, positioning the country among the economies with the highest performance, according to forecasts by international financial institutions.

In the 11th episode of the podcast "Flasim", in its sixth season, Rama stated that Albania is expected to record significant economic growth in the coming years.

"In Albania, an increase in income of around 32% of GDP is expected in 2030, which places us in the main group of economies with the most stable, but also the highest growth, always according to international organizations, not simply according to the Albanian government," said Rama.

The Prime Minister emphasized that this progress is not a coincidence, but the result of reforms undertaken over the years.

"This growth is no coincidence. It rests on the foundations that we opened and fortified with our courageous reforms, long-awaited and sorely missed for decades, and that have put the country in the conditions to move forward rapidly," Rama noted.

According to him, economic growth relies on sectors that are in continuous development, while one of the most tangible effects is the increase in wages.

"Meanwhile, what is most tangible in this growth process is the continuous increase in salaries, not only in the public sector, but now also in the private sector, especially for all those who have a certain qualification or possess a trade," he declared.

Rama also described this development as a call for Albanians living abroad to consider returning to Albania, underlining that for many of them the country today offers more opportunities both in economic terms and in quality of life.

"This is also a call for all Albanians abroad to continue to look with optimism at the possibility of returning to Albania, as for many of them Albania today offers more than the countries where they are. Meanwhile, beyond what it directly offers in terms of work and salary, it also offers the warmth of home", said the Prime Minister.
