Prime Minister Edi Rama, during his speech in the next episode of the podcast "Flasim", also commented on the situation of fuel prices.

Rama emphasized that among the measures taken by the government to control the market is the establishment of a Task Force and the establishment of a transparency board, as well as the temporary reduction of excise duty.

He added that the additional revenue will be used to support pensioners, while announcing new measures to increase transparency and combat abuses in the oil market.

" We have been talking about this for the past few days. It is a topic that requires attention and has our constant attention, hour after hour, and as we have said, we have taken concrete steps, a task force has been established in the Ministry of Economy and Finance in order to increase control and identify any possible abuse in the market.

No abuses have been noticed, monitoring continues, and since the price has had another jump, the decision has been made to enter the transparency board regime, which will ensure that there will be no beneficiaries or profiteers, as they say on the other side of the mountains, who will want to exploit the crisis to put more money in their pockets.

At the same time, another decision was made to intervene with a temporary measure, which other countries are also doing in the excise tax on oil, reducing it by about 20%, in order to ease, so to speak, the burden on vehicle users ," Rama said.

Speaking about the economy, Rama said that Albania is following a stable growth trend and that according to international forecasts, the country is expected to record a significant increase in Gross Domestic Product within the framework of long-term objectives.

He also highlighted the increase in salaries in both the public and private sectors, describing this as a factor that encourages the return of Albanians from emigration.

Prime Minister Rama focused on cybersecurity, stating that Albania ranks in the top ten in an international index, as a result of investments and strengthening capacities after cyber attacks in recent years.
