Serbia/ Car plows into crowd, takes away one protester, others rebel

Belgrade has been engulfed by massive protests by Serbian students against corruption, which have been ongoing for several months and have shaken the control of President Aleksandar Vučić.

Tensions are rising, as this morning, before the start of a massive protest, an incident was recorded, where a car drove into the crowd of people and hit a protester. This led to the rebellion of other protesters who were present at that moment.

Serbian students have been protesting for weeks, but have warned that today will be their biggest protest yet. The slogan "March 15 for 15" refers to the 15 victims of the concrete collapse at the Novi Sad Railway Station.

For this reason, Vučić called on everyone to ensure that today's protest in Belgrade is peaceful and that state authorities do not use force except in cases of absolute necessity, and said that the state will take all necessary measures to ensure peace and stability. He said that the protest, which is expected to be held from 16:00, is illegal, and that if necessary, there will be arrests.
