Bomb alert at Lezha Courthouse! Personnel evacuated, police immediately begin checks

The Lezha Court was also part of the bomb alert in several institutions in the country, where after receiving the notification, the personnel were evacuated and the building was surrounded by police forces.

Police services began searching the court premises, while employees were evacuated from the building for security reasons. Due to the situation, court activity was suspended on Thursday morning, including several scheduled court hearings, including those for the assessment of security measures.

On the same day, several threatening emails were received at the official addresses of several institutions in the country, including Lezha, from an address claiming to be linked to the Islamic State (ISIS), putting authorities in motion, while their source and authenticity remain unconfirmed.

Police checks and actions will continue until the verifications are fully completed, while investigations are expected to determine whether this is a concrete threat, a false alarm or an attempt to create panic.
