Greek government spokesman Pavlos Marinakis has announced a cabinet reshuffle in response to the crisis facing the country's ruling conservative party, New Democracy, Kathimerini reports.
The change concerns the positions of Minister of Economy, Transport, Migration and Civil Protection.
Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis has been widely criticized by the opposition and protesters, who have been taking to the streets of Athens and major Greek cities for weeks, over the Thebis train accident on February 28, 2023, in which 57 people lost their lives.
The government is accused of trying to cover up its responsibilities in the accident and of obstructing ongoing investigations.
