USA/ Plane catches fire after landing, passengers evacuated

An American Airlines plane caught fire after landing at Denver airport in the US.
According to the Federal Aviation Administration, the Boeing 737-800 aircraft, which was flying from Colorado Springs Airport to Dallas Fort Worth International Airport, diverted to Denver after the crew reported an engine vibration.
"After landing and en route to the gate, an engine caught fire and passengers evacuated the plane via slides," the Federal Aviation Administration said.
A total of 172 passengers and six crew members were evacuated from the plane and moved to the terminal.
No injuries were reported to passengers as they were evacuated by exiting the wing of the plane. The aviation agency announced the launch of an investigation into the incident.
The 737 fire follows a series of aviation tragedies that have raised questions about air safety in the US.
The deadliest occurred on January 30, when a collision between a commercial airliner and a military helicopter in Washington resulted in the deaths of 67 people, and on February 1, when a medical transport plane crashed in a Philadelphia neighborhood, resulting in the deaths of seven people - six on board and one on the ground.
