Romanians heading to Serbia to participate in protests? The Romanian Embassy denies the news...

Following the false and unfounded information published on March 13 by the tabloid Informer, the Romanian Embassy in Serbia firmly condemns such fake news that lacks professional ethics and is based outside of real facts and aims to manipulate Serbian public opinion, the Embassy said.
This pro-regime tabloid reported that numerous Romanian citizens are arriving in Serbia with plans to demolish apartments in Belgrade, while citizens are protesting.
"We express our deep disappointment at the spread of such accusations that openly promote hate speech and influence the perception of Romanians in the Serbian public. They are in complete contradiction with European values and the European path that Serbia has taken. The Embassy stands in solidarity with the Romanian community that was offended by the article and at the same time thanks for the messages of support from Serbian citizens, who in the vast majority see the Romanian people as a friend, with common values," the Embassy's statement said.
The embassy said it demands that the Informer publicly apologize and immediately withdraw the offensive article.
