A group of researchers at the Central Astronomical Observatory of Ukraine reports that it observed more than 20 unknown objects moving near and above the surface of the Moon during several months of 2025. According to the study published by the team, which has not yet undergone the scientific evaluation process, some of the disk-shaped objects were estimated to be between 15 and 25 miles in diameter.

The team of researchers divided the objects into two categories: “atmospheric” objects, which appeared to be stationary on the surface of the Moon; and “continental” objects, which appeared to move across the surface. The researchers report that the objects exhibited unusual changes in brightness and rotation. According to them, these patterns of brightness and rotation changes could be linked to organized and technological behavior, which leads them to hypothesize that the objects may have originated from a hidden base on the Moon.

The text also mentions the phrase: “UFOs are observed on Earth and in near space. We believe that the Moon serves as a base for UFOs,” as stated in the team’s study. The researchers also say that these objects, according to their estimates, can reach Earth within about 20 minutes and appear in the atmosphere as UAP (unidentified aerial phenomena). The team argues that the movements suspected of being intelligent could be an indicator of the existence of a “technologically advanced civilization.”

The study's authors highlight observations and interpret patterns of object behavior, but the claims have not been confirmed by the scientific community. The study has not yet gone through the peer-review process and there is no independent verification of the findings presented.
