Spanish police rescue a man whose kidnapper was taking him to a remote area of the Barcelona province, apparently to execute him for the disappearance of a drug shipment.

Several transporters of Romanian origin who pass off the task of transporting drugs across Europe to each other and then, when the cargo is stolen, blame each other for the loss.
And a few-second video that begins circulating on mobile phones, in which one person points a gun at another's head while shouting: "Where's ours? Where's the [drugs]?"
The Spanish National Police managed to rescue the 47-year-old man who appeared in those images being threatened with a firearm on August 10, according to an announcement made this Thursday by the Ministry of the Interior.
He had been held captive for more than a week and, after being beaten many times, was being transported to an isolated location in the province of Barcelona, apparently to be executed.
During the operation, one of the suspected kidnappers was arrested, who at the time of his arrest had a Tokarev pistol, of Russian origin, with him and attempted to use it against the police.
The cocaine has not been found. Neither have the rest of the people involved in this drug and revenge story.
According to police sources' reconstruction of the incident, it all started on August 1. That day, a video arrived on the mobile phones of many truck drivers of Romanian origin that could only be viewed once and then deleted. In it, a man holds a gun and places it next to another person's head.
Both are suspected of being members of a network that deals with the secret transportation of drug shipments from the Iberian Peninsula to the rest of Europe, on behalf of major drug traffickers.
In the few seconds that the video lasts, the message that the gunman sends to the recipients is clear: either someone helps find the missing cocaine shipment, or the victim, who already shows visible signs of beatings on his face, will die.
One of the people who had received the video notified the Romanian police of its existence. Initial investigations by the Romanian police managed to determine that the message had been sent from a Spanish phone number and that the number was in the name of a citizen of Romanian origin, who lived in Spain.

Megjithatë, ky i fundit nuk e çoi kurrë ngarkesën në destinacion. Ai pretendoi se ishte sulmuar nga një grup tjetër trafikantësh droge dhe se i kishin vjedhur mallin. Në zhargonin policor, një grabitje e tillë e një ngarkese droge quhet “vuelco”.
Më pas ai u zhduk.
Pronarët e drogës kërkuan shpjegime nga ndërmjetësi, ndërsa ky i fundit ia kërkoi shpjegimet transportuesit të parë. Ky i fundit përfundimisht u rrëmbye, në mënyrë që t’u tregonte se ku ndodhej shoferi i kamionit që ishte zhdukur pa lënë gjurmë dhe, mbi të gjitha, ku ishte kokaina.

The kidnapper claimed he did this out of fear of retaliation from the Albanian clan that owned the cocaine. After appearing before a judge on charges of kidnapping and illegal possession of drugs, the kidnapper was released on bail. Meanwhile, the missing drugs have yet to be found.
