The Special Court does not grant permission to Hashim Thaçi to say his

The Special Court has not granted permission to former President Hashim Thaçi to attend his father's funeral ceremony.

The news was announced by the Kosovo Liberation Army War Veterans Organization, who expressed outrage at this court's decision.

The Kosovo Liberation Army War Veterans Organization expresses its deep indignation and revolt against the unjust, inhumane and unacceptable decision of the Special Court, which has refused to release our comrade-in-arms, former President Hashim Thaçi, to attend the funeral ceremony and bid his father farewell.

This decision is not only a flagrant violation of fundamental human rights, but also an act that contradicts the universal values of humanity and justice. Preventing a son from paying his last respects to his father is a painful act that violates dignity and the deepest human feelings.

The KLA War Veterans Organization considers this action as a deliberate and malicious act of the Special Court, which aims to humiliate and degrade not only Hashim Thaçi and his family, but all former fighters and the values they fought for, in retaliation for the lack of evidence to incriminate and convict KLA leaders.

We call on international institutions, human rights organizations, institutions and political actors in Kosovo and Albania to react strongly to this violation of fundamental rights and to take measures to ensure that such cases do not recur, because fundamental rights should not be subject to abuse or retaliation.

The Kosovo Liberation Army War Veterans Organization will not tolerate the silence of the institutions of the Republic of Kosovo towards the violations, abuses and contemptuous treatment being meted out to our fellow soldiers by the Special Court in The Hague!
