Journalist Elton Qyno has learned that investigations into the case are underway in several directions, but what the Shkodra criminal police are verifying is the divorce that 57-year-old Lekë Gjoni filed with his wife.

The police have escorted several people, including the ex-brothers and relatives of the ex-wife. Another line of investigation is that of drug cultivation in the Dukagjini area, a phenomenon that has produced victims in this remote area of ​​Shkodra almost every year.

Father and son are ambushed in the village of Mgull in Dukagjini. Two people fired more than 50 bullets, leaving them dead on the spot.

According to sources at the scene, the victims were ambushed at a bend near the village of Xhan, about two kilometers from the road connecting the Pulti area with Shoshi. They were traveling from the village of Mgull towards Shkodra.

Two Kalashnikov assault rifles were allegedly discharged at the SUV driven by Lekë Gjoni. He and his father died at the scene, while the vehicle went off the road after the driver lost control.

After the shooting, the perpetrators are suspected of having fled in an SUV. A burnt-out vehicle, suspected to have been used by them, was found a few kilometers from the scene.
