Opposition parties once again demanded from the Assembly hall the functionalization of institutions in Kosovo.
The Democratic Party of Kosovo and the Alliance reiterated that the Vetëvendosje Movement is deliberately keeping institutions blocked.
Përparim Gruda, a PDK MP, said that Vetëvendosje MPs also hold positions in the executive branch illegally.
"Why does the Minister of Finance, whose name is in the Supreme Court decision, dare to do this?! Because the constitutional order has been overthrown, because they are convinced that their power goes beyond the constitution," said MP Përparim Gruda.
From the Parliament podium, Alliance MP Albana Bytyqi called for the constitution of the Parliament, saying that citizens' problems can only be solved in this way.
"What Kosovo needs is the creation of institutions, an assembly, a government and a president. We cannot solve all these problems by blocking the institutions and the state with the Vetëvendosje mentality," said MP Albana Bytyqi.
The Kosovo Assembly has not been constituted for almost three months after the elections, and the constitutional deadline for this process ended on August 7.
Meanwhile, the Vetëvendosje Movement needs more time in order to secure 80 votes in the Assembly to elect the president, since the agreement with the Democratic League of Kosovo only provides 74, after six LDK MPs did not support Bekim Sejdiu.
