The leader of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, has stated that analyst Baton Haxhiu was connected to the structures of the former Serbian regime and that Slobodan Milosevic himself, according to him, called Haxhiu "one of his own" during a meeting in The Hague.
Commenting on Haxhiu's recent stances on SPAK's actions, Berisha described it as part of a political mission in defense of Prime Minister Edi Rama and his relations with Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić.
Question: In an article today, Baton Haxhiu said that in this country the prosecutor is now stronger than the prime minister. Commenting on SPAK's decisions, Haxhiu seems to have changed his stance, because when it came to cracking down on the opposition, he was in favor of SPAK, while now, when it comes to Rama, he has come out against it. How do you characterize these stances?
Sali Berisha: Now, if you have forgotten, I am reminding you that Slobodan Milosevic told Haxhiu to his face, in The Hague, that you are ours, you are ours. Haxhiu was a personal agent of the chief of intelligence Stanisic, of the intelligence of the former Yugoslavia.
