Big brawl in Librazhd, serious incidents in the Albanian championship match

The Second Category match, Group A, between Sopot i Librazhd and Beslidhje, held at the Librazhd city stadium, turned into one of the most beautiful and most commented matches of this edition. The atmosphere was electrifying, with around 3 thousand fans filling the stands and giving the match color and passion from the first minute to the end.
The match was characterized by a high tempo and a strong sporting duel, which was also reflected in the large number of yellow cards awarded by the referee. The challenge became complicated early for the home team, as a Sopot player was punished with a red card at the beginning of the first half, forcing the team to play for most of the match with one less player.
Despite the numerical inferiority, the football played was of a high standard. Two spectacular goals, one for each team – one scored by Beslidhja and one by Sopot – brought the audience to their feet and confirmed why this match was considered one of the most interesting of the week.
However, the end of this sporting spectacle was marred by serious incidents off the field. At the end of the match, as the away team's players were heading to the locker rooms, they were involved in a clash with Municipal Police officers. According to preliminary information, one of the officers was punched under still unclear circumstances.
The situation has also led to the irritation of the fans, while the energetic intervention of the police forces has avoided further escalation and violent clashes. Previously, at least three people have been escorted to the Librazhd Police Station for a full explanation of the incident.
A match that began and developed as a football celebration, but which unfortunately ended with tensions, leaving behind the need for reflection and measures to guarantee safety and fair play in sports.
