"Youth deserves more" - The call of the Euro-Atlantic Coalition's

The Euro-Atlantic Coalition's candidate for MP, Marinela Ziu, raised concerns about the country's depopulation, accusing the current government of abandoning Albanian youth.

“This is a country where young people cannot build a secure future. Despite efforts, most are leaving for a better life,” said Ziu.
She underlined that the Coalition’s plan includes concrete support for employment, education and youth initiatives, to turn Albania into a country with hope and dignity for the younger generation.

Today I started the day with a fruitful meeting with young people, to listen closely to the concerns and challenges they face every day. We talked about the lack of opportunities, the economic difficulties and the aspirations they have for a better future. In this meeting, I shared with them the solutions and concrete plans of the Euro-Atlantic Coalition Youth Program, which aims to turn Albania into a country where youth can find opportunities and hope.
The call for #change is urgent!
Albania is being emptied of youth every day. Young people are looking for opportunities abroad, because our country does not offer opportunities for development and dignity. A country without youth is a country without a future, a country without courage, a country without energy and without transformative strength. And this is what Edi Rama's government wants: an Albania without youth, without opportunities, without a future, so that it can preserve the interests of a privileged minority.
Only in this way can they protect their power, ignoring the needs and hopes of youth.
For every young person left in Albania, the reality is bitter. The cost of living is unaffordable, purchasing power is low, and salaries are far from the possibilities to build a dignified life. This is a country where young people cannot build a secure future. Despite efforts, most of the youth are leaving for a better life.
The dramas of depopulation are visible: Every family has a girl or boy who has left the country, or who is waiting for the first opportunity to leave. Young people are leaving to seek employment and education opportunities, because Albania is drowning them in poverty and insecurity. This is a deep wound for our country, which the government of Edi Rama is not feeling and is not solving.
But this must stop, and it will stop! The next government has a clear and feasible plan to give a new opportunity to the youth of Albania.
These are some of the steps we will take to create opportunities and keep young people in their country:
Creation of the Youth Employment Fund in the technology sector, supporting new youth-led enterprises and preparing them to compete in international markets. This fund will finance and support technology start-ups, to give young people the opportunity to develop sustainable careers in a changing field with great potential.
Initiative for Albania as an IT investment hub, where young people will be trained and supported to compete in international IT markets. This will provide opportunities for personal and professional development, enabling young people to contribute to the development of their country.
Grants for new businesses run by youth, with a focus on supporting areas where there is a need for economic development. Youth businesses will have the opportunity to receive financial support to start and grow their activities, providing employment and development opportunities for future generations.
Creating opportunities for 10,000 paid internships for excellent students each year, where each internship will be covered by a reward of 30,000 new leks. This program will promote the growth of youth's professional skills and provide them with valuable work experience.
Promoting social enterprises by youth, using confiscated criminal properties from the anti-mafia law. This will create new business opportunities and help rehabilitate areas devastated by crime.
Removing the fiscal burden for young workers up to 30 years old, which will mean new opportunities for those starting a professional career.
Salary subsidy for professionals returning to Albania after working abroad, providing opportunities for those educated in foreign countries to contribute to the development of Albania.
Encouraging and supporting investors operating in the IT, mechanics and electronics sectors, and employing young people up to 30 years old.
We will build 4 Regional Innovation Centers, in Tirana, Central Albania, South and North, to give youth the opportunity to develop in an advanced environment of knowledge and innovation.
We will prepare 25,000 young professionals in technology, who will have the opportunity to earn an average salary of 2,000 Euros per month, directly contributing to the development of the country's digital economy.
Our vision for youth is to provide opportunities, create spaces for growth and development and ensure that Albania becomes a country where youth can build their future. We have the biggest and most transformative project ready that will completely change the Albanian economy and open a new horizon for our youth.
Our vision is clear: To create opportunities for youth, developing the most advanced sectors and giving every young person the opportunity to pursue their dreams in Albania!
