May 11th elections/ List of SP MPs: Who left and who are the new names...

Tonight, the Socialist Party will finally decide on its list of candidates for MPs. What is known so far is that the political leaders are all on the safe list. Part of it will also be some of the ministers without a mandate as MPs and new names coming from the Diaspora, the "Deputy We Want" platform and the Socialist Party structures.
For the May 11 elections, many important names of the Socialist Party, some of them former ministers, risk their seats as MPs as they are expected to be on the open list. The competition there is strong, especially in the Tirana district.
With only a few hours left until the official announcement of the Socialist Party's parliamentary candidates for the May 11th race, the greatest excitement seems to have mostly involved the multi-term MPs.
If we stick to the statement of the Socialist leader Edi Rama, the number of career MPs who must win their seats through the direct vote of the people is greater than that of those MPs who have not yet started the race.
They are the political leaders: Ogerta Manastirliu, Elisa Spiropali in the Tirana district, Belinda Balluku in Fier, Bledi Çuçi in Vlora, Mirela Kumbaro in Gjirokastër, Ervin Demo in Berat, Niko Peleshi in Korça, Arbjan Mazniku in Elbasan, Ulsi Manja in Lezha, Blendi Klosi in Dibër and Eduard Shalsi in Kukës.
They are not political leaders of Shkodra and Durrës, as they are mayors and between the seats of deputy and city mayor, they held the latter.
Another political leader remains Taulant Balla, who leads the Diaspora. If we refer to the statement of the socialist leader Edi Rama at the Socialist Party Assembly in the fall of a year ago, he will be on the list safely and most likely in the Elbasan district.
The open list, where the deputies of this legislature will have to regain their seats in parliament, contains a considerable number of multi-term socialists and some of them former ministers.
For the seat of deputy in the race in all 12 districts, the following are expected to be: Erion Braçe, Pandeli Majko, Olta Xhaçka, Xhemal Qefalia, Damian Gjiknuri, Ermonela Felaj, Arben Pëllumbi, Ilir Pendavinji, Nasip Naço, Fatmir Xhafaj, Lindita Nikolla, Etilda Gjonaj, Blerina Gjylameti, Klotilda Bushka, Mimi Kodheli and Milva Ikonomi.
The sure ones, those who will be MPs on March 13 after the submission of the lists of candidates for MPs to the Central Election Commission, are untested in parliamentary life. They will be ministers, young people from "Deputeti qe Duam", Diaspora, names coming from the structures of the Socialist Party and former leaders in central and local government institutions.
Among the most well-known names expected to be on the safe lists are ministers Adea Pirdeni, Ervin Hoxhaj, Igli Hasani, Blendi Gonxhja, Albana Koçiu, Bora Muzhaqi, Pirro Vëngu, Anila Denaj and Petrit Malaj.
In the May 11 race, where the Socialist Party aims to renew part of its team, there are also leaders of central and local institutions and entrepreneurs.
Deputy Minister of Infrastructure and Energy, Ceno Klosi, Ardit Bido, director of the Archives, the two prefects of Vlora and Shkodra, Plator Nesturi and Majlinda Angoni, general director of Water Supply and Sewerage Klevis Jahaj, entrepreneur Vasil Llajo, or Ermal Pacaj, former director of the Probation Service.
These elections will also produce a novelty: Agron Çela and Paulin Sterkaj will no longer be MPs, but will be represented by their family members, one with his daughter Xhejms Çela and the other with a relative, Ndriçim Sterkaj.
The safe list also contains many new names coming from "The MP We Want", the Diaspora, Socialist Party structures, and leaders of local institutions in all 12 regions of the country.
However, Wednesday and the meeting of the Presidency of the Socialist Party will finally determine the 186 candidates for deputies of the Socialist Party, where 46 of them will be such without waiting for the May 11 elections.
