Protest in Tirana/ Police investigate 20 protesters: They blocked movement on the main axes of the capital and disturbed public peace

Twenty protesters have been placed under investigation by Tirana police after they blocked traffic on the capital's main roads during the 106th protest that took place last night.

Following the investigative and procedural actions carried out with the aim of documenting the illegal actions committed during this gathering and bringing their perpetrators to criminal responsibility, the specialists of Police Commissariat No. 2 referred the materials to the Prosecutor's Office, where criminal proceedings were initiated against 20 participants, specifically the following citizens:

Sh. B., 33 years old; VD, 29 years old; BK, 36 years old; AP, 49 years old; IM, 28 years old; AJ, 39 years old; AK, 46 years old; GP, 37 years old; A. Ll., 28 years old; IM, 24 years old; EK, 27 years old; AN, 26 years old; SE, 32 years old; A. Ll., 20 years old; MY, 19 years old; AB, 59 years old; DG, 50 years old; BM, 34 years old; R. Sh., 22 years old and AK, 29 years old.

These citizens, through organizing and participating in the rally, are suspected of blocking the movement of citizens and vehicles, as well as disturbing public peace, on the main axes of the capital, specifically the "Dëshmorët e Kombit", "Bajram Curri" and "Gjergj Fishta" boulevards, on "Wilson" Square and on "Sami Frashëri" and "Abdyl Frashëri" streets.

The procedural materials were referred to the Prosecutor's Office at the First Instance Court of General Jurisdiction in Tirana, for further action for the criminal offenses of "Organizing and participating in illegal gatherings and demonstrations", "Obstructing the circulation of means of transport" and "Disturbing public peace".
