Fire situation in the country/ Ministry of Defense: 44 fires reported in 24

The Ministry of Defense has published the latest data on the fire situation in the country.

 
Over the last 24 hours, 44 fires have been reported, of which 14 remain active, 9 are under surveillance and 21 have been extinguished.

636 local forces and 67 firefighting vehicles were engaged in the operations, while the Armed Forces supported with 329 personnel, numerous vehicles, 6 helicopter operations, 1 Air Tractor aircraft and 1 drone.

The main active situations are:

 * Shkodër: the Bardhaj-Myselim fire continues to be active, with ground and air engagement, including 71 personnel and 2 AF helicopters. The fires in Mnelë e Vogël, Naraç and Mount Tërbun are also active, where 50 military forces have also been engaged. The fire in Bërdicë is under surveillance and does not pose a risk to homes.

* Tirana: fires continue to burn in Dajti Mountain, Kryezi in Kavaja and Selitë e Mali. 82 personnel and 1 AF helicopter have been deployed in Dajti, while 1 Air Tractor aircraft has been deployed in Kryezi.

* Dibër: active hotbeds are in Vajkal, Lundre–Madhesh, Qafën e Helmes and Cerrujë. The Lundre–Madhesh hotbed is also being supported by the Armed Forces.

* Lezhë: the outbreaks in Gallatë and Kalivaç–Zimaj–Kashnjet remain active; 63 personnel and 2 AF helicopters have been deployed in the latter. No homes are reported to be at risk.

* Berat: the fire in Vokopolë remains active, while the fire in the Kala neighborhood has been extinguished.

In other regions, several outbreaks have been extinguished or are being kept under surveillance, including those in Korça, Elbasan, Vlora, Durrës, Fier and Kukës.

The National Civil Protection Agency (AKMC) continues to continuously monitor the situation throughout the country, in close coordination with prefectures, municipalities and all structures of the Civil Protection system.

Operational capacities remain engaged in the field and ready to intervene where the situation requires, with priority given to the protection of lives, homes, property of citizens and the environment.
