Six years after the events, the people suspected of being responsible will go on trial. It concerns two robberies in apartments in Redondela, Spain, which took place within less than 24 hours, just a month before the pandemic, and today the accused, three Albanian citizens, will appear before the Criminal Court No. 1 of Vigo.

The prosecution is seeking a total of five years in prison for each of the robbers, who acted in a group, a sentence that will be replaced by deportation from the country for a period of ten years.

According to the indictment, the first theft occurred on the evening of February 7, 2020. After breaking a bedroom window in one of the apartments, they entered and took jewelry, a bottle of Valentino perfume, two brand-name watches, a razor, and 1,310 euros in cash. One of the watches and the perfume were found and recovered.

A few hours later, before 8:30 a.m. the next morning, also in Redondela, the prosecutor alleges that the same group entered another apartment again, using the same modus operandi, through the window, stealing jewelry, a watch, five perfumes, a Jabugo ham, three bottles of alcohol and 500 euros from inside.

In this case, the victims only managed to recover three rings and a Valentino perfume.

For the prosecution, the events attributed to these three men, all of Albanian origin, with no criminal record and with irregular residence, constitute a continuing criminal offense of forced theft in an inhabited dwelling.
