Firearm in taxi/ Driver arrested in Vlora, collaborated with 17-year-old to sell it

A taxi driver has been arrested by the Vlora police after a firearm was found in his vehicle. It is learned that he collaborated with the 17-year-old passenger to transport the firearm in exchange for a sum of money that he would receive after selling it.
Meanwhile, the latter has been declared wanted by the police. Investigative actions continue within the framework of the police operation codenamed 'The Passenger', which took place a few days ago, to crack down on a case of attempted firearms sales.
A 54-year-old man (the driver of the taxi where the firearm was found) is arrested and put in handcuffs. The Specialists for the Investigation of Serious Crimes, of the Vlora DVP, following the investigative actions carried out within the framework of the police operation "The Passenger", based on information provided by police intelligence, arrested and detained citizen IB, 54 years old, resident of Fier.
During the operation conducted 4 days ago, on the "Fier - Vlora" road axis, in the trunk of the taxi with the driver, citizen IB, and a 17-year-old passenger, the Police services found an automatic firearm, which it is suspected that the 17-year-old, who was arrested in flagrante delicto, was transporting towards Vlora, with the intention of selling.
From the investigative actions, it is suspected that citizen IB is involved in this case, having collaborated with the 17-year-old to transport the firearm, in exchange for a sum of money that he would receive after selling it.
Work continues to arrest citizen E. Gj., who was declared wanted in the framework of the operation, and to fully document this case. The procedural materials were transferred to the Prosecutor's Office at the First Instance Court of General Jurisdiction in Vlora.
