The family of the late Aleks Nika, who was killed during the January 21 protest, seems to be unhappy with Agron Malaj's possible candidacy for MP. Mark Nika, the uncle of Aleks Nika, who was killed on January 21, 2011, has sent a message to "Real Story" to the Secretary General of the Socialist Party, Blendi Klosi. In the message sent to the socialist, Nika wants to know if Agron Malaj will run for MP of the Socialist Party on May 11.

" I have a message from Mark Nika, who is the uncle of Aleks Nika, killed on January 21, 2011: Good evening Sokol, if possible, you can ask Mr. Klosi if it is true that Agron Malaj, the former commander of the "Fire Group" on January 21, is a candidate for deputy of the Socialist Party, if so, tell him that you are wrong," said the host of the show Sokol Balla.

The answer was received by socialist Blendi Klosi, who stated that the decision on whether or not Malaj will run for MP in the upcoming parliamentary elections will be made by the Presidency of the Socialist Party. Klosi also added that the socialists have requested from SPAK a full clarification of "January 21".

" Agron Malaj is the mayor of Mati, voted twice by the people of that region, he has requested candidacy and has resigned. Tomorrow the Presidency will make the decision. He is one of those guys who was on January 21, for whom he has given his testimony, he was one of Sali Berisha's most accused on January 21, to blame him. Today, Agron Malaj and 2 other mayors, Tërmet Peçi of Tepelena and Ervin Demo of Berat, resigned from their positions as mayors of their municipalities. Their names will most likely be included in the multi-name lists of candidates for MPs for the May 11 elections.
