He changed his last name in Albania and returned to Italy, the 37-year-old

A 37-year-old Albanian must serve seven years in prison for a final drug conviction that stemmed from the denunciation of a “brave mother” from Terni.

The Albanian, although he had changed his last name to that of his wife, was tracked down and arrested by officers of the Terni Flying Squad.

The woman had previously reported the incident to the Terni Mobile Squad to arrest her son's drug dealers, after he had ended up in the cocaine business and had a lot of debt. So much so that the mother had paid her son's debts with her savings, with gold and even by selling her car. Then, irritated, she turned to the police.

Stopped by the patrol car, the Albanian showed a document indicating that he had taken his wife's surname. But further checks revealed his original identity and also the arrest warrant issued against him.

As reported by the Terni police headquarters, the 37-year-old, the last at large in that judicial case, with the others involved all arrested over time by the police, had returned to his homeland, changing his surname. A regular practice but one that did not allow him to escape justice.
