A dispute between families of Albanian origin turned into a tragedy on Wednesday evening in Tavullia, in the province of Pesaro Urbino. During a violent argument, Dritan Idrizi, 38 years old, was stabbed to death. Despite desperate efforts to save him at the Cattolica hospital, the man died from three stab wounds to his chest.
The fight broke out along the road connecting Tavullia with San Giovanni in Marignano, where Idrizi, accompanied by friends armed with clubs and irons, had gone to settle a financial dispute of 5,000 euros related to alleged construction work. The situation quickly degenerated: kicks, punches and blows with hammers preceded the use of knives.
In addition to the victim, three other people were injured during the fight. At the moment there are no arrests, but the Carabinieri of Pesaro are investigating the charges of murder, attempted murder and serious injury.
