Names/ Rally at "Zogu i Zi", police arrest 12 protesters and prosecute

Following the investigative and procedural actions carried out by the structures of the Tirana Local Police Directorate, in relation to the rally held on 14.09.2026:

-the following citizens were arrested in flagrante delicto: Ermelind Kuka, 19 years old; Dorjan Balla, 36 years old; Artan Daci, 41 years old; Ervis Beqaj, 36 years old; Ramazan Dauti, 31 years old; Bekim Imeraj, 37 years old; Visuar Dalipi, 29 years old; Axhim Micaliu, 20 years old; Aleandro Ahmetsulaj, 56 years old; Ridvan Kamberi, 63 years old; Klodian Bajrami, 24 years old and Enrik Xhemalaj, 39 years old;

-the materials were referred to the Prosecutor's Office, where proceedings were initiated in the free state for citizens FB, 32 years old; BK, 27 years old; A. Zh., 26 years old; SE, 32 years old; MR, 28 years old; AP, 49 years old; LB, 39 years old; KN, 20 years old; FK, 34 years old; EN, 33 years old, AD, 23 years old, EP, 31 years old, LP, 26 years old, MP, 18 years old, and IM, 28 years old.

On 14.09.2026, at around 07:30, a group of people gathered at "Skënderbej" Square for a rally, without the appropriate permit, and continued their march towards Durrës Street, where they stopped near a high school, calling on students to boycott the learning process and participate in the rally, violating the school's security perimeter.

Despite calls from police officers to leave the school security perimeter and clear the sidewalk for citizens to pass, some of the participants in the rally disobeyed orders and violently opposed the police officers during their escort.

The procedural materials were referred to the Prosecutor's Office at the First Instance Court of General Jurisdiction in Tirana, for further action, for the criminal offenses of "Organizing and participating in illegal gatherings and demonstrations", "Opposing a public order police officer", "Disobeying an order of a police officer", "Disturbing public peace" and "Inducing minors to commit a crime".
