Historic Republican convention in Dallas, FOX NEWS: Trump's name 'will be on the ballot'

DALLAS — There could hardly be more at stake for President Donald Trump and Republicans.
With less than two months until the midterm elections — and early voting just weeks away — Trump and the Republican Party (GOP) arrive in Texas starting Wednesday for the party's first-ever midterm convention, as Republicans fight to retain control of Congress.
The GOP plan for the convention, which comes at a time when Republicans face mobilized Democrats and an unfavorable political climate while defending their narrow majorities in the House and Senate, is to mobilize the party's base and increase turnout in key races that will determine control of Congress.
"We're putting the president on the ballot ," Republican National Committee (RNC) chairwoman Jo Gruters said in an interview with Fox News Digital ahead of the convention. " That's exactly what we're doing with this midterm convention."
Democrats and Republicans traditionally hold large nominating conventions during presidential election years. However, a year ago, Trump floated the idea of a similar gathering ahead of the midterm elections to highlight the major policy achievements he and Republicans in Congress have made since returning to the White House.
But Republicans are facing a low-turnout problem: MAGA voters, who don't always go to the polls when Trump's name isn't on the ballot.
The GOP solution: Organize what has been promoted as a “Trumpapalooza.”
" We have the greatest showman in politics, President Donald J. Trump ," Gruters said. " He's the best vote-getter for these low-turnout voters. He's done it three times. And he'll do it again."
According to the speaker list, which was first disclosed to Fox News Digital on the eve of the convention, the president will deliver Wednesday's keynote address, which is tentatively scheduled to begin at 9 p.m. Eastern Time.
Trump will return to the American Airlines Center in downtown Dallas on Thursday evening to close the convention, with a speech following the second night's keynote address, which will be delivered by Vice President JD Vance.

Gruters tha se folësit në konventë do t’i pyesin amerikanët: “A doni arsyen e shëndoshë dhe qasjen e moderuar, apo doni të majtën ekstreme dhe këta radikalë që janë zgjedhur dhe që në thelb duan ta ndryshojnë vendin tonë?”
"They want to fundamentally change the way you live at home ," Gruters claimed, referring to the Democrats.
The rest of the convention plan is to highlight Trump's achievements during his second term.
“ He has done more for the American worker than anyone else in the last five decades ,” Gruters claimed. “ Things like tax cuts for working families, fair trade policies, $19 trillion in investments, which you won’t feel today, but you will feel over time. The fact that he consistently fights to protect the American worker, the Trump RX accounts... This president understands what needs to be done and has empathy for what people are going through.”
Another factor that is giving the GOP a boost: money.
In the midterm election battle, the RNC arrives at the convention with a huge advantage over the DNC in terms of campaign money raised.
" We've raised a lot of money. We've saved that money ," Gruters stressed. " Now, over the next 60 days, you're going to see us spending that money to make sure our voters get out to vote, to make sure people know exactly where our candidates stand and where the opposition stands."
