Who is Remzi Azemi, the Albanian boss of cocaine? Why hasn't he been arrested?

The topic of the Review show in Euronews Albania this Saturday was the latest action of SPAK, where in cooperation with the Spanish law enforcement authorities, a group of international cocaine traffic was hit. This group had built three drug processing laboratories in Albania.
Invited to the show, chronicler Julian Kasapi discovered one of the big cocaine bosses operating in Ecuador. Kasapi said that one of the biggest suppliers of cocaine in Europe is the Albanian from Kosovo, Remzi Azemi.
Azemi was arrested in North Macedonia, while in Ecuador it is reported that he died last month as a result of a cardiac arrest. The journalist added that it is unclear whether the death is a fabrication by the drug trafficker to escape the authorities. He emphasized that in North Macedonia, where Azemi is arrested, no information is given on his location or on the death reported by the Ecuadorian authorities.
The document where Azemi was declared dead in Ecuador:
Remzi Azemi is among the citizens of Kosovo best known as a former resident of Guayaquil, as he is known as the right hand of Dritan (Gramoz) Rexhepi.
In 2014, Azemi was arrested during an anti-drug operation in the Balkans, along with 11 other people, including Albanians and Ecuadorians. Azem's gang was accused of storing large quantities of drugs in Guayaquil, which were destined for Europe. They were suspected of having infiltrated personnel in the administrative areas of the ports, which enabled them to select containers destined for traffic. However, Azemi was released from prison after only one month.
At the end of 2017, Azemi was the target of an assassination attempt in the center of Guayaquil. He was in an armored vehicle, and the assassins opened fire when his wife rolled down the window to smoke a cigarette. Azemi was injured, but survived the assassination attempt, which was related to conflicts over cocaine trafficking.
This event followed the execution of the Albanian Ilir Hidri, also part of the criminal gangs there, just a few months ago. Azemi, who had Ecuadorian citizenship and lived there for 8 years, escaped from Ecuador after the assassination.
According to documents from the Ecuadorian prosecutor's office, investigations against him continued. Prosecutor Cesar Pena had stated that on Azemi's phone, seized by the authorities, important messages were found that could reveal his criminal activity.
