Alarm in Germany, suspicious object found on train tracks

German police raised the alarm on Monday after a suspicious object was discovered on railway tracks in the Bavarian town of Treuchtlingen. However, after the intervention of specialist teams, authorities confirmed that the object did not contain explosives.

Due to initial suspicions, buildings near the site where the object was found were evacuated, while the area was cordoned off and citizens were asked to stay away. Specialized robots, including a mine-clearing robot, were used to remove and examine the object in an operation near the city's railway station.

The incident comes as German authorities are on heightened alert over potential drone threats. Vigilance has been heightened following an incident at Leipzig Airport in eastern Germany, where a drone suspected of being equipped with explosives was discovered near the runway.

Authorities are continuing to investigate the origin and nature of the suspicious object.
